Eye tests for care home residents

We’re no longer holding group eye clinics in Care Homes.

Instead, we provide eye tests on a one-to-one basis, arranged with the resident’s next of kin. This ensures every visit is personal and focused on their individual needs. Care Home staff can also help arrange an appointment, with consent from the next of kin.

To book an eye test, simply complete the form below.

If the form doesn’t load, open it in a new tab.

Happy clients. Happy residents.

Important information for care homes

We will endeavour to honour any existing clinic bookings you have with us.

The final day for new clinic bookings will be Friday 29th November 2024. Our final clinic day will be on Friday 20th December.

After this, we will continue to see residents on an individual basis, instead of seeing all residents in one visit. Care Home staff can also book eye tests for individual residents with the permission of next of kin or the patient themselves.

What costs are involved?

Most of our care home customers, who are permanent residents of the home, are eligible for free NHS eye tests. There could be a number of reasons that they qualify for a free eye test, such as being over 60 years old, being at risk of getting glaucoma, or being in receipt of Pension Credit.

Residents who receive certain benefits are eligible for an NHS optical voucher which covers the cost of our standard glasses. If the resident would like thinner lenses or any other extras, then there will an additional cost.
