What Happened to Hidden Hearing?

A change like this can be a useful opportunity to think about what you want from your hearing care provider, whether that’s ongoing support, expert advice, greater convenience or simply a service that works around you.
At OutsideClinic, we’ve been providing care in people’s own homes for more than 35 years. Our hearing care is designed to make looking after your hearing simple and convenient, with qualified audiologists bringing professional hearing tests, advice and ongoing support directly to you at home.
In this guide, we’ll explain what has happened to Hidden Hearing, why you may now be seeing the Audika name, what the change means for existing customers and what your options are if you’re considering a different hearing care provider.
What happened to Hidden Hearing?
If you’ve been searching for Hidden Hearing recently, you might be wondering why you’re suddenly seeing a different name.
Hidden Hearing hasn’t simply disappeared. From 1 July 2026, Hidden Hearing and Amplifon came together under a single brand in the UK: Audika. That means three familiar hearing care names are now connected and it’s understandable if you’re not immediately sure what that means for you.
Perhaps you’ve visited a Hidden Hearing centre for years but have now seen the Audika name instead. Maybe you’ve searched online for Hidden Hearing and found yourself on an Audika website. Or you might have received a letter, email or appointment information featuring a name you don’t recognise.
Is Audika the same as hidden hearing
With Hidden Hearing, Amplifon and Audika all appearing in conversations around the change, there’s a lot for customers to get their heads around.
The simplest explanation is that Hidden Hearing is now Audika in the UK. The Hidden Hearing name is being replaced as part of the move to the Audika brand, alongside Amplifon’s UK hearing care business.
For existing Hidden Hearing customers, Audika says appointments and services will continue as normal. Hearing aids previously supplied by Hidden Hearing will continue to be supported, and existing warranties and aftercare arrangements remain in place.
However, even when the practicalities of your care remain the same, seeing a familiar hearing care provider change its name can understandably raise questions. Who will look after my hearing now? Will I still visit the same place? What happens to my hearing aids and aftercare? And do I have to stay with the same hearing care provider?
If the changes have prompted you to think about your hearing care, it can also be a useful time to consider what you want from your provider and to explore the other options available to you.
Do I have to stay with the same hearing care provider?
A change of name can naturally prompt a bigger question: do you need to continue with the same hearing care provider?
The simple answer is no. You are free to consider your options and choose the hearing care provider that best suits your needs.
If you’ve been with Hidden Hearing for a long time, you may be perfectly happy to continue your hearing care under the new Audika name. But a change like this can also be a useful opportunity to think about what matters most to you and whether your current arrangement still provides the service, convenience and support you’re looking for.
Hearing care is personal, and different people will have different priorities. You might value seeing an audiologist without having to travel, for example, or want appointments that can take place in the comfort of your own home. You may be looking for ongoing support with your hearing aids, expert advice when you need it, or simply a provider you feel comfortable building a long-term relationship with. And while there may be some new names appearing in hearing care, OutsideClinic has been providing care in people’s homes since 1987. That means you can choose an established provider with decades of experience helping people look after their sight and hearing at home.
It’s also worth remembering that you don’t have to choose another high street hearing care provider simply because that’s what you’ve always done. There are other ways to access professional hearing care.
OutsideClinic, for example, brings hearing care directly to you at home. Our qualified audiologists can carry out a comprehensive hearing assessment in familiar surroundings, talk you through your results and, where appropriate, discuss hearing aid options based on your individual hearing needs.
And that relationship doesn’t end once you have your hearing aids. Ongoing care and support are an important part of looking after your hearing, which is why it’s worth considering the complete service a provider offers rather than making your decision based on a name alone.
Why choose OutsideClinic for your hearing care?
If the changes at Hidden Hearing have prompted you to explore your options, you might be surprised to discover just how easy looking after your hearing can be.
At OutsideClinic, we believe great hearing care shouldn’t depend on getting to a high street clinic. We bring the clinic to you, with professional hearing care delivered in the comfort and familiarity of your own home.

Hearing tests in the comfort of your home
There’s no need to travel into town, find somewhere to park or sit in a waiting room. One of our local, HCPC-registered audiologists will come to your home with the equipment needed to carry out a comprehensive hearing test.
Your appointment usually lasts around an hour, giving you plenty of time to talk about your hearing, ask questions and understand your results. If hearing aids could help, your audiologist can explain the options available to you without any pressure to buy.

Hearing care built around you
With a wide choice of modern hearing aids
Your hearing is personal, so your hearing care should be too.
Rather than simply looking at the results of your hearing test, we’ll consider your lifestyle, the environments you spend time in, the technology and features you’re comfortable with, your budget and even how discreet you’d like your hearing aids to be.
It means the conversation starts with you and your needs, rather than a particular hearing aid.
Hearing Aids:
If hearing aids are recommended, OutsideClinic offers a range of modern solutions designed around different levels of hearing loss, lifestyles and budgets.
That includes discreet and virtually invisible options, rechargeable hearing aids and technology with features such as Bluetooth connectivity. Your audiologist can explain the differences and help you understand which options could work best for you.
And when your hearing aids are ready, we come back to your home to fit them, check they’re comfortable and working correctly, and show you how to use and look after them.
