In The Ear (ITE/ITC) hearing aids

ITE hearing aids are custom made, which means they are built to ensure a comfortable, perfect fit.

The shell and faceplate (the top section where the controls and battery door are) can be made in a range of colours to match your skin tones.

As they are larger in size than other fitting types they can offer a range of technological features, including telecoils, and are powerful enough to help mild to severe hearing loss. Their size is also great for handling too.

As they are custom made for you, ITE hearing aids will be comfortable all day

As they are larger, ITE hearing aids are easy to handle and fit/remove

A lot of ITE hearing aids have a larger capacity battery

Some have a telecoil option for connecting to loop systems in banks, churches, etc.

Are ITE hearing aids right for you?

ITE hearing aids have bigger batteries and powerful amplifiers, so are suitable for mild to severe hearing loss.

Because of their larger size, ITE hearing aids are ideal for those who have dexterity issues or visual impairments.

They can also have more features, like directional microphones.

If you are looking for something smaller, then there is the Half Shell option which is more discreet but still retains all the key benefits. However, they are not as discreet as some other styles of hearing aids.
