Change a hearing aid battery

This short video shows how to change the battery in a hearing aid that uses disposable batteries.

What the video shows

If you're unable to watch the video, these are the main steps involved:

  1. Open the battery compartment
  2. Remove the old battery
  3. Insert the new battery and close the compartment

If the battery doesn't fit easily, stop and check you have the correct size before continuing. 

New batteries may take a minute to activate after removing the tab. If the hearing aid still isn't working, or the battery won't fit comfortably, it's best to stop and speak to us.
